DOCOMOMO Japan has added Nichinan Cultural Center to its list, “264 Buildings of Modern Movement in Japan”.
日南文化センターがDOCOMOMO Japanによる「日本におけるモダン・ムーブメントの建築264選」に選定されました
DOCOMOMO Japan (DOCOMOMO = Documentation and Conservation of Buildings, Sites and Neighborhoods of the Modern Movement) has added Nichinan Cultural Center to its list, “264 Buildings of Modern Movement in Japan”.
Nichinan Cultural Center is the 9th building designed by Kenzo Tange to be included. The other 8 Tange projects that are listed include Hiroshima Peace Center (Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park), Kagawa Prefectural Government Office, Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Tosho Printing Company Haramachi Factory, St. Mary’s Cathedral, Tokyo, Yamanashi Press and Broadcasting Center, Imabari City Hall Complex and Kurayoshi City Hall.

日南文化センターがDOCOMOMO Japan（DOCOMOMO = Documentation and Conservation of buildings, sites and neighborhoods of the Modern Movementの略称）による「日本におけるモダン・ムーブメントの建築264選」に選定されました。
日南文化センターのリスト入りは、広島ピースセンター（広島平和記念資料館および平和記念公園）、香川県庁舎（香川県庁舎東館）、国立屋内総合競技場（国立代々木競技場）、図書印刷株式会社原町工場（図書印刷沼津工場）、東京カテドラル聖マリア大聖堂、山梨文化会館、今治市庁舎・公会堂・市民会館（今治市庁舎本館・公民館・市民会館）、倉吉市庁舎（倉吉市庁舎本庁舎）に続く、丹下健三作品として9作目となります。
